Magic Kingdom’s Best Attractions

Seven Dwarf Mine Train

One of the most popular attractions in Magic Kingdom is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train over in Fantasyland. Jump in the mine cart and race around the mountain; with small drops and fast turns its classed as a thrill ride but still suitable for kids (if they like that kind of thing). On the ride you’ll get to see the dwarfs hard at work with the amazing new animatronics. Make sure to book some fastpasses for this one as the line gets really long right from park opening since everyone heads straight over there.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover

Take a 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland onboard and open-air emission-free tram. You get to see behind the scenes of Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain and models of Progress City the original concept for Epcot. This ride is nice and slow with a unique view of Tomorrowland, and doesn’t usually have much of a wait. It’s a chance to rest your feet, relax and take a minute out of your busy day with a great view of the castle.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic

Out of all the things to do in Magic Kingdom, this is one of my favourites. Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a 3D musical film where Donald Duck is thrown into the scenes of your favourite films in search of Mickey’s Sorcerer’s Hat. You’ll get to visit Simba’s Africa, Ariel’s Grotto and many more along with the famous songs that come with them. I honestly can’t think of anything better on a swelteringly hot day than to have a seat in the cool air conditioning and watch a wonderful show.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

Board this train in Frontierland and race around Thunder Mountain on this thrill ride. You’re thrown around a bit and even though the drops are fairly small your bum still leaves the seat. Big Thunder is similar to Mine Train without the Snow White story and is a great alternative with about half the wait time.

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin

Get in your XP-37 star cruiser, grab hold of your space cannon and shoot the infrared laser to battle against Zerg. Use the joy stick to spin round to give you the best angle to shoot the “Z” insignias and the harder it is to hit the more points its worth. This ride is fun for everyone and tends to bring out your competitive side when trying to beat your friends and family.
